A lot of neck and shoulder pain can be attributed to posture and how we are moving (or not moving!) through our day. Oftentimes our workspaces are not accommodating our bodies’ need to move, so it is important to keep an awareness of this and move or shift positions often. Our metabolism responds to regular position changes, and even small ones can make a difference especially to our shoulders and neck.
Keep your body limber and fluid with regular exercise, walking, running, yoga, swimming, dancing…..whatever moves YOU!…..but be mindful of those little movements too, that wake up your brain and remember to hydrate frequently as well. Your body, mind and soul will thank you.
And take some posture tips from Dr. Brett as well on this new video with some simple changes that might make the difference in your neck or shoulder pain!
