At River Ridge Chiropractic and Acupuncture, we are here to help you when you have been in a Motor Vehicle Accident. Your injuries may not be severe, but you should always consider being checked out by a chiropractor as many people experience pain that shows up or increases 24-72 hours or more after the accident.
When you come in for your initial exam, we will be asking you for some specific information that will help us help you. We are happy to file any claims with the insurance companies involved, but you will have to initiate contact with them.
So #1, We will ask you in what areas you are experiencing pain, when the accident occurred and how.
#2 We will need claim #’s and contact information (adjustor’s name, name of insurance company(ies), their address and phone #). Some people file dual claims, both with the at-fault party’s insurance, and possibly their own insurance company, if they are covered by medical payments. Also bring along any accident reports you might have, or any other information. If you have a claim in place with the at-fault insurance company, or your own medical payments coverage, we will bill the insurance company directly and their is no charge to you at time of service.
#3 Expect your first visit to last from 45 minutes to an hour or more with time for paperwork included. We want to give you the time for a thorough exam to evaluate your condition and set up a treatment plan. In most cases, you will begin treatment on your first visit. Patient care is our highest priority, so we will want to get you seen as soon as possible after your accident.
