Asheville is known for our tailgate markets, offering fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally-produced foods.  We were even featured in GoVeg.com and Organic Style magazine.

Here is a taste of our local markets:

Fruits and Vegetables
Located in the Grove Arcade Public Market downtown, Fresh Quarter offers fresh fruits, berries, and veggie snacks from local farms.

Main Course
At Hickory Nut Gap Farm, you will be able to share the family farm experience while shopping for your main course. They offer 100% grassfed beef and pastured pork. You will find animals raised in their natural environment, drinking fresh spring water and grazing on grass and clover.

Foods and Crafts
The Oakley Farmers Market offers produce that is locally-grown as well as crafts that are locally-made. Thursdays from 2-6 PM.

Winter Fare
At the Holiday Bazaar, open Saturdays in December, you can support local farmers and artisans.  In addition to food items, you will also find local-made gifts and holiday decorations.

Entire Meal
The West Asheville Tailgate Market offers lettuces, greens, herbs, plants for your garden, breads, pastries, eggs, cheese, soaps, and a variety of meats.  You can even stop for a bite to eat and a fresh cup of coffee while you shop!

Food and Christmas Trees
The Western North Carolina Farmers Market has a retail and wholesale building, deli, restaurant, garden center, as well as fruits and vegetables, jams, cheese, bakery items, honey, fudge, crafts, flowers, and Christmas trees.

With all these local venues, there really is something for everyone.
